◎George Ezra 與 Jessie Ware是目前唯二有許多人命名播客的藝人。但現在還有更多人參與其中。
◎最新兩個例子是Frank Turner和T.I.。英國藝人Frank Turner推出由英國公司Somethin'Else製作的《Tales From No Man’s Land》播客，並與他的新專輯聯結在一起，這張專輯基於歷史上的十二位女性，每首歌都有一集播客，由Frank Turner講述他們的故事，包括：Sister Rosetta Tharpe、Mata Hari、Dora Hand等人在內。美國藝人T.I.則推出了一個名為《ExpediTIously》的播客，討論各種社交和關係問題。
◎第三個以藝人為主題的播客是Oasis《Listen Up：The Oasis Podcast》，雖然專注於藝人，但不是由他們製作。這個播客是樂團首張專輯《Definitely Maybe》發行25週年慶的一部分，四集內容將採訪與樂團合作過的人物。
It isn’t that long since George Ezra and Jessie Ware were the only two artists with podcasts that many people could name. Many more are at it now.
Two of the latest examples are Frank Turner and T.I. British artist Turner has launched his ‘Tales From No Man’s Land’ podcast, produced by UK firm Somethin’ Else. It ties in with his new album, which is based on twelve women from history. The podcast sees Turner telling their stories, with an episode per song. Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Mata Hari and Dora Hand are among the people featured.
American artist T.I. is launching a podcast called ExpediTIously, meanwhile, which promises discussions of all manner of social and relationship issues. He’s certainly confident. “I have a lot to say, and I think the world needs to hear it,” he told Billboard. “I also felt that my opinions and ideas were far too big to just live on someone’s phone or on social media.”
There’s also a third artist-focused podcast launching this week, albeit focused on the artist rather than being made by them. That artist is Oasis: ‘Listen Up: The Oasis Podcast’ has been made as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the release of the band’s debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’. Its four episodes will feature interviews from people who worked with the band, as well as other talking-heads from the 1990s. It’ll go head to head with the fan-made ‘The Oasis Podcast‘, which recently published its 91st episode.
